Join us for our sixth annual New Years Eve dance as we swing into the New Year! We’ll be joined some of NYC’s best musical talent, Grand Picnic, and with Alexandra Deis-Lauby calling and teaching!

Grand Picnic combines the rhythmic drive of old-time Southern fiddling with traditional New England and Quebecois tunes. Based in New York and beloved by the dance community for more than 30 years, Grand Picnic includes veteran musicians Marco Brehm (bass), Michael Gorin (fiddle), Jody Kruskal (concertina), Bill Peek (piano) and Sam Zygmuntowicz (fiddle).

Brooklyn Contra will provide bubbly beverages for a toast 🥂 (alcoholic and non) as we dance from 8:30 pm into the new year in our lovely hall in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

• Please do not attend if:

  • You have any symptoms that may be related to covid-19 or other viruses

  • You have come in contact with anyone in the 2 weeks prior to the dance who is suspected to have covid-19

• Proof of vaccination is required, including valid ID and vaccine card

  • You can also present your Excelsior Pass or other vaccine card app along with valid ID for entry

  • Please wear your wristband throughout the duration of the dance

• Masks are required while inside the dance
