A Contra Dance for All

  • Camp Friendship 339 8th Street Brooklyn, NY, 11215 United States (map)

Music By: Dance Magnet

Calling By: Dylan Simpson

Dance Magnet is NYC’s newest contra band, animated by Anne Beal’s sweet fiddling and backed up by percussion and piano to deliver groovy, Celtic-flavored barn burners and spicy Old-Time versions of well-loved contra dance tunes.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dylan began dancing in earnest in Princeton, New Jersey. As a caller, he brings an easy manner and positive energy that draws dancers in - remember, if we're having fun, we're doin' it right!
